bouncy ride

I just got an 83 f150 and the ride is really harsh. The guy said he put some heavy duty springs up front. Also if you look at the tires from the front, the 2 front tires point in like \ / . How hard would changing springs be...where can i source good stock ones

Seems to me an 83 would have I-beams, no? And if they are pushing down like that AND the ride is stiff, then going HEAVY DUTY may only make things worse. Just my thought though.

I only played around with I-beams when I had (and lowered) my 94 Ranger with Belltech lowered I-beams. Depending on the condition of things underneath there, they are not all that hard to deal with...BUT, if you have lots of grime, rust and/or corrosion, your in for a long bit if work. Also depends upon you knack for wrenching and raw determination.

I had one frozen bolt that I spent 3-4 hours getting loose, was up until 3:00am that night...
