Question Steering questions

Does anyone know the answers to any of the following:

1. I know the 2003 Lightning received an updated steering gear box. It is still the "slow" 14 to 1 ratio, but it was modifed with "different valving" for better steering. Did all 2003 models receive this "valving" in steering gear box, including standard f150s and Harley Davidson models? If so, does it make a difference?

2. In a recent Truck'in Mag., it was reported that a commonly overlooked steering componet is the "RAG JOINT". It can get worn and affect steering sensitivity. Does our 97' and up F 150s have this "rag joint" and has anyone had any experience with it?

Thanks.
