Question ? for all you trailmaster lift owners

Just a few questions for all of you with tm lifts...
1. How difficult is it to install? (do you need to know a little about cars or a lot)
2. Will the stock 17" rims fit the lift?
3. Has anyone had any problems with the lift? (anyone that actually has the lift, not "I heard that this happened")
4. How is Trailmaster's customer service?
5. If you did pay to have the lift installed, how much did you pay?
6. Does the lift make the front tires sit further apart than the rear tires? If so, how much?

Thanks a ton in advance.
Sam

Thumbs up

I've had my Trailmaster lift for around 2 years now. So I will try and answer your questions.

1. I installed it myself with a friend in my driveway with basic handtools. Took one long day to do it. I would recommend you know a little about cars and be mechanically inclined.

2. Yes, no problem
3. Have not had absolutly no problems.
4. I only talked to them once and they seemed fine.
5. Installed it myself
6. No, the wheels will stay the same. That seems to only happen on the lifted 4x2's.

Hope this helps.

Scott

Exclamation

Check with local laws first because i know here in ILLINIOS you have to have DOT (Department of Trasportation) approval to drive a vechile and guess what. Trailmaster lift isn't DOT approved so, check first or get busted later and lose truck. Just thought I'd let u know.

Thanks for the replies. Squanto804--do you have any pictures of the lift components on the truck? If it isn't too much trouble, could you email me the instructions? Also, do you think $1200 overnighted to my door is a good price for the lift? Thanks again.
