Edelbrock shock problems...what are these odds????
OK, I got a set of IAS shocks and when they arrived, one of them was bad brand new out of the box. The shock could be compressed and extended like there was nothing in it's insides. OK, replaced it. A month later one of the front shocks (after installation) started leaking like crazy. OK, replaced it. Now, my dad has a front shock gone bad. Rides/handles great and even removed the shock and it feels brand new but when you hit a solid bump just right it clanks so bad you can feel it and hear it in the truck. Can also shake the shock in your hand and hear something inside rattling. Removed the shock and rocked the truck the same way and the clanking, etc went away. Reinstalled and problem immediately returned. Shock problem confirmed. I was just curious what are the odds on the same customer getting three bad shocks in a row like that over a matter of months. Other than that they have performed just as well as everyone rants and raves about... Not dissapointed, just curious...
FWIW, this was my personal three strikes rule. Next time it's Blisten...(If anyone from Edelbrock is listening...)

IAS
I had a set of IAS shocks on my screw. They felt like they were letting go with just 20,000 miles on them. No catastrophic failure. Just lost a lot of damping. I replaced them with some Rancho RS9000X's and am very pleased so far.
