Question Anyone remove overload leaf?

Has anyone removed their overload leaf from their stock spring pack? I have the 7700 package and the rear springs are too stiff. I just got the airbags from Summit racing for $173.00 delivered so I don't need that leaf. I want to know how much drop you get and the ride quality afterwards. Thanks

When i lifted my truck i removed the overload leaf when i put in the add-a-leafs. No difference in ride quality at all. The overload leaf doesn't do anything unless you put 1,000 lbs of cargo in your bed and drive down a bumpy road. The drop will be the thickness of the spring, about 1/2".

Keep in mind that under hard accelleration, the overload leaf can help keep the rear end from doing a wrap or rolling motion from the torque. This will cause loss of useable power and can damage the drivetrain and can also cause premature breakage on the other remaining springs.
