Doesn't the 2000 model F-150 and newer have an additional 25 horsepower? Could that be the reason for eliminating the general use of the 3.73 axle?

the 265/75/16 tires is a bit smaller then the 265/75/17 tires found on the ORP

1999-2000 has 260 hp and 345 ft/lbs of torque
2001 has 260hp and 350 ft/lbs of torque

dont know if 5 ft/lbs of torque would change the ratio to only 3.55. maybe ford is trying to save gas so they higher the ratios.
