I decided to put in my lift blocks yesterday and me and my friend started at 4:00...we went to celebrate at IHOP at 11:30 last night after we finished...thats right...it took 6 hours! The problem came in that we didn't have the right tools when we needed em and had a lot of problems with one ubolt that wouldn't straighten up. They are custom made, but it still should have fit, so i'm going to stop by a shop today to see if it's straight enough to be safe. Anywayz, the blocks didn't make an enormous difference but they did make a slight one, of course i still have 200 lbs. of old tires in the truck right now, so it might raise more. Anywayz, i also have metal shavings in my feet from when we drilled out the bracket but thats another story...anywayz, i could probably go back and do it much faster now, but if anyone has any questions, let me know...its still fresh in my mind!

I bought procomp 3" lift blocks for my 97. I am getting new u-bolts made up by a local shop today. What length of u-bolts did you use? Did you do anything about new bump stops? I figured when I do the mod, I will get the procomp 4.5" poly blocks, they are huge, and will give about the same bumpstop-axle spacing as the old setup with the small bumpstop-bumpstop horn.

the last time I did lift blocks, (on my old truck) I bought them at auto zone for like 23 bucks or something and it came with the u bolts and everything... put the 2" blocks on the rear in about 10 munutes... 5 per side. Its only 4 boltsper side...
