Lowering a 4x4 supercrew
Please don't flame me or anything. I really like the lighting wheels and think it would look really cool to sit it down about 2 inches.
I live in wyoming where you really need to have 4 wheel drive, however I do like the look of the harley davidson or any slightly lowered truck.
Anyway if you guys know of any companies making kits to do this type of thing please let me know.
Please don't get angry with me just an idea.

you most likely need:
shorter driveshafts, especiall front
shorter springs, will be hard to find as the front leafs can get much shorter. you would either have to flip them under the axle or rig up some reverse arc leaf system.
and if you change to smaller tires, you will need to swap in HIGHER gears.
also it may be hard to find shocks for a 4x4SD the right length for a lowered truck.
now i am not positive about these things, but you may have to do these

All you have to do to lower the front of a 4x4 is un-crank the torsion bars some. Then a company called...um, little help guys...makes a kit that lowers the back suspension...hope this helps...i'll try to get a little more info for ya...

Thanks for the info, However I think I must of temporarily lost my mind.
I have always been a 4x4 guy and lifted with big tires is the only way.
I will probably upgrade to some 305's and then when I can afford to put the RCD lift and 315's on it.
Again I appreciate the info and no flames, and I think I have regained my sanity.
Thanks
Paul
