Sorry if I spelled any of the names wrong but I wanted to know how your 4.6 handles the larger tires. Did it suck away all your power or does it handle it all right. Also, what is your gas mileage like on these trucks after the lift.

There was some low-end power loss, but it was nothing I can't live with. I have the 5 speed manual tranny so keeping it revving in the power band is not a problem... as long as I'm there, she still pulls strong! If I let the RPMs drop below about 1400-1500 on the highway without downshifting and try to accelerate the response is pretty sluggish... other than that I'm still happy. I do plan to put 4.10's in the rearend though... maybe this summer.

My mileage actually improved slightly when I went with bigger tires. Getting about 13.5 to 15.5 MPG now, depending upon whether it's mostly highway driving or city driving. Also, it's starting to warm up out here and the A/C has been on more lately... really doesn't seem to affect power or mileage much. With gas prices hovering around $2/gallon, that was nice to see!

Yes there is some power loss.....but I can live with what I have lost....I can still spin my tires from a dead stop and smoke them all day power braking.....gets up and go just fine.......but changing gears would feel great..would feel like I got a new hot rod........I havent been in a hurry to change them but I will in the future.....4.10s or 4.56s ....Dave
