Depends. How long do you want to go? If you just want a conservative levelling, you can lower a couple inches AND improve your ride by checking this out:

Sundog,

I am looking to drop the rear so the bed is level, even with the front. SO I would say a 2 to 3 inch drop..

I have a '99 Lightning, and I know that people have been using DJM 2" lowering shackles to level. You may want to check under the FAQ for Lightnings under suspension, there is a lot of info there!

Hope this helps!

I have a set of Bell-Tech 2" shackles on mine and it left a slight rake to mine, which I like. I think the HD's sit lower in the rear from the factory so a 3" may be too much for you.

I just ordered 2" DJM shackles from Stylin Concepts. I was surprised since I figured they would have been much more expensive. They'll be in this week (Thurs?) and I'll let you know how they are.

This is from a Lightning board, but I thought it may give you an idea as to what is involved.

Question

Has anyone had problems with drive shaft vibration after installing the shackles at home? I looked at the link above and it looks too easy!?
