I just put a set of four on this weekend. This thing drives like a completely different vehicle - I love it! Of course, my factory shocks were probably worn at 90,000 miles. The advertising may have made ya think it would be a 'great' improvement. I can't really say anything on that because I didn't try any other brands.

Put them on my f-250LD around 28,000.

If you can't feel the difference, then you need sensitivity training :-)

Not a whole bunch of difference, but it is definetly there. I don't think there is anything like quite them. Much better than rancho 9000's. Work on completely different principle - and patented.

I just installed Performers IAS on a 2001 Expedition with less than 2000 miles on them. Amazing difference. I posted on the Expedition board.
The stock shocks were a joke. I could collapse them with a quick push. I could barely compress the Edelbrocks. I'm now able to drive 70 mph on the highway and run through dirt roads in safety. Could not imagine driving without them. Better stopping , seems the firmer stance transmits to a quicker stop. I actually skidded the first time I hit the brakes hard on gravel. Before I would have just bobbed and weaved.

Question

BADF-150

Are you talking about Edelbrock IAS shocks? You mention "new" and IFS so I wondered if they had a new one out. IAS have been around for a couple years at least and I haven't heard anyone say anything but amazing things about them.

I'm really hoping your experiance is with something different, because my IAS's came in today and I'm looking for a great ROI. After all, at almost $300 I better be really impresed

Question

Hey Flatlander (me east coast relatives call us that over here in the west), I have the same engine & gearing you do in the same truck, only 98. How do you like your true duals with packs? Did you get a chance to compare mileage and any power changes & how long of packs did you use? I used 26". Email me if you read this. Thanks!!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I guess I can tell a little bit of a difference but not much but the are a lot better than the stock junk shocks that come on from the factory.
FamilyRide sorry, I mistyped IAS was just a typing error!!! No new ones out!! Hope your experience with them is a positive one!!

Red face

*sorry off topic *
POLARISGUY where's your email?
I'm glad others thought these shocks made an improvement. I could'nt believe that just shocks would alter the ride that much. Cool.

Thumbs up

BADF-150

I installed mine today. I've only driven a few miles but I think the ride is actually slightly smoother but I feel a little better control. Cornering is definetly noticable and recovery from dips and bumps is much quicker.

I will say though it didn't make my 5800 lb Expy feel like a Vette. Of course mine only has about 20k easy street miles on it so the OEM shocks still felt good.

Someone posted and I thought it was odd, but they said, the OEM shocks aren't bad shocks! I have to agree. I'm glad I did the Edelbrocks though. It feels like they make the tires do some work. I've decreased air pressure closer to recommended already.
