ive heard of problems not being to align it back up unless you get (i belive) some a arms with it. if you are trying to just level it up you could also drop the rear end with a block. just another idea.

I've heard about not being able to align it with the Fabtech, but not with the Rough COuntry. Man, I saw the Rough Country on the JCWhitney site and it is only $143 for the 2"! The Fabtech's that I;ve seen run closer to the $300 mark. I don't know what could be the difference between them, the Fabtech does come with shocks though.

I installed the Rough Country kit last year.
To align you have to get the camber caster eccentric washers from ford. You will need 4 of them. This way you can have your alignment done. It will only cost about +/-$65.00 to get the alignment done. If you do your own springs you should be able to do the installation of the washers too.

Good luck,
Mike

J_Rock,

I updated my sig.
Standard cab. The truck is still to loose.
I need to buy the rear sway bar.
I bought the rear add-a-leaf from JC Whitney too and promptly removed it.
I hate to say it but I whimped out on the ride.
I used to have a '96 F250HD 4X4. Was killing my neck and back.
This F150 is a weak suspension from the factory. They aren't like the '96 or earlier half tons.

I have the 4.6l engine.

Regards,

Mike

Don't even bother with the leveling kit ,I just went through that problem!New Ford trucks are set up with unequal length control
arms as the angle increases the wheels lean in and their is not enough ajustment in the upper control arms . For $249 you can buy 3"
lift spindles at http://www.truckn.com .This
will keep your ride quailty.

J_ROCK, i have a reg cab. ive heard that the springs are designed for the ex-cab so on the reg cab they are really stiff. i also read on an earlier post that some guy ripped the pistons out of his stock shocks with the lift.

I just ordered the upper control arms to solve the problem I had with the Fabtech leveling kit. After talking to AIM they sound like they do alot of R&D on their products.I was really disappointed with Fabtech they should pull the leveling kit off the market!
