No problems but why the 8 inch rims ? 10 inch rims do not make the tires stick out to far......plus when I had the 8 inch rims my tires rubbed on the fabtech a-arm due to the tire ballooning....Power loose yes, does it bother me, no.....What will bring it back to normal power....4.56s.....Good luck, Dave

Your tires are going to rub on the A-Arm like Dave said, and depending on how much, it might be kind of dangerous after a while. I imagine that it could eventually wear the tire out so much it will blow...?? But then you could sell the rims, since the truck would be totalled from flipping it...lol

I just put 33's on, and I went with a wider rim. I think it looks better, and it also is a safer setup.

I have to disagree, guys... I've got the same set-up he's talking about right now with NO rubbing on the control arms. I think as long as you have the new Fabtech spindles and not the older Bullseyes they used to give you, you'll be fine! The newer spindles push the wheels outboard about and inch and a half further than the old which gives additional clearance on the arms. I do think the tires would look better on 10" wheels, but I seriously doubt you'll have any safety issues like flipping over with the 8"ers.

Yup, power loss is there and noticable. Enough to make you not want to do it? Hell no... Gear ratio needed to go back to stock performance is something like 4.27 according to this calculator:

http://www.dakota-truck.com/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

4.10's or 4.56's would work fine. I'm thinking 4.10's this summer... I prefer a little better mileage over a little more low-end grunt. I'm pretty sure you'd be happy with either

Later!
