Post Rear vibration

I have a new 2001 F150 Supercrew. I notice that at high speeds, 55-65mph, it develops what appears to be an up and down vibration of the rear portion of the truck. It almost seems as if the end of the bed is vibrating up and down. It makes the ride a little roughter and seems to be independent of the road surface. Any suggestions?

There are latches underneatth your truck on the cab of the truck. You can completely take off the bed and drive the cab with this feature. Check them out and see if they're all the way tight, and if there's nothing that you can see then take it to the dealer and have them check it out for you. Probably not a big deal at all.

I have a 00 150 and it has the "BOUNCE" from 43-55 I went to the dealer here and they said it is a tire problem and I will have to contact goodyear......Bummer, I will just replace the tires with some meat once I lift it!

Hi Guys: Thanks for your respnses and suggestions. I checked everything very thoroughly and found no loose bed or bad tires. What I did find is a broken tailgate bearing on the passenger side which allows the tailgate to bounce up and down on the passenger side. I have to get it replaced at the dealer at the first service.
