Question 4x4 lowering kit?

I'm considering buying a 2001 F150 SuperCab 4x4, but I'm hoping I can lower it a little. Not slammed, but just 2-3", to put lower profile tires and ground effects so it will look sort of like the Lightning. I don't go offroad, and I only need the 4wd for snowy days and to get my 7500 pound race boat up the luanch ramp without spinning my tires for 10 minutes.

Does anyone know of, or have any experience with this type of application? I've seen lowering kits for the 4wd Expedition and Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I guess it's not that unusual, but I can't seem to find anything, and Bell Techs website has been taken down for a while.

Thanks.
