Saw a new Product....was wondering if anyone has them?
Okay so ya'll can laugh at me. But I was watching Crank & Chrome on TNN the other day and they were installing Roadmaster Active Suspension to a truck. Basically what it does is act like an extra leaf spring. Is supposed to reduce swaying and sagging when you are hauling/towing something. The things looked liked they worked well. Was just wondering if anyone has them....would like to maybe get them in the future.

I won't laugh, I saw it too! Looked like an interesting idea. I also wonder if anybody has installed one of these.
FYI to others, "Active" is a bit of a misnomer. No electronics or anything like that. Basically, its an adjustable straight-line tensioner that has a tension spring that hooks over the shackel mount, and spans the distance to the axle to leaf spring connection. So it helps keep the leaf spring arched. When enough load has been added to start flattening out the leaf, the tension spring starts to pull to resist further flattening. It uses a threaded rod, so it is adjustable. Idea being, I think, that in unloaded ride, it will have little effect.
Anybody have one?
