Extra Leaf Spring
What is this extra leaf spring I seee some people sya they have and where can I get one. I would like to raise my truxk a inch or so when under a load of about 1500lbs
I have the LP 25 Hellwigs as well. I've carried loads up to a ton and a half with out any problems. The helper springs will make your ride a little on the stiff side, but well worth it if you use it for loads. Thre's two types of Hellwig Lp 25's progressive and constant load.

Those all look great but I would like to find a single leaf spring that requires me to unbolt my u-bolts and put the spring directly below my top leaf spring. I have seen these on a few trucks but have no idea where to get them. A spring about the same saize as the uppermost spring
I'm using the Hellwig 25's, thats 3
extra leafs set up to load only when you need it...when you have a load, can adjust them to come in earlier or later, i've found if you leave them to loose they tend to clunk & rattle so i've got mine a tad bit on the tight side

Just go to your local spring shop. I had three added to mine. Why three? Because I made the mistake of ordering the factory load leveling air suspension. After the truck arrived, I found out it comes with only two leafs if you get the air bags. After the pathetic air system blew out twice and the truck bottomed out from a otherwise completely inadequate suspension, I ripped it out and had three leafs added to my springs to bring them up to standard 250 specs. Cost was about $400.00.
Another very good option from my experience is to add an aftermarket "Airlift" system. They are very reliable (unlike the factory system), and can be inflated as needed to the degree needed. They add anywhere from 2,500 to 5000 extra pounds of capacity depending on the system purchased. Cost of an Airlift kit is $200 - $275.
