Question 2WD 1.5-2 inch lift

Ok guys and gals, I need to raise the front of my 99 F150 king cab, XLT, 2WD, 4.6. I really don't want to go all out with fabtechs lift kits. All I am looking to do is level it. Is it possible to use the front springs from a 99 F150 XLT 2WD 5.4 loaded? Wouldnt that give me a lil lift without causing alignment problems?

thanks in advance

I am thinking that the little difference in spring, if any, would be so little, you wouldn't even notice it. They do have coil spacers and fron end leveling kits out there.

But how much do the coil spacers vs the coils affect the ride?

Thanks for the tips guys, looks like I'm gonna have to go with fabtech's leveling kit. Past experience has shown that spacers reduce ride quality and we don't want that. I don't plan any serious off roading here in miami, but I have been known to do my share of curb hoping. Fabtech's springs and extended shocks and alignment cams should keep the ride nice while still allowing for the new 275s that I installed last week. This will also leave me some upgrade room incase i wanna get higher in the future. Whats that brown stuff between the treads on my new 275 dunlops?.....slow natives...

I heard that the leveling kit had a harsh ride also...especially without the control arms...there reasoning for this was 1. Stiffer coil 2. Larger sized coil (or coil + spacers) in a space that was built for a smaller coil. But give us some feedback on the levling kit...if it works out for you then i might have to consider that as an alternative from the spindles or spacers.
