Has anyone had a lift (of any kind: body, spindle, etc) done in the Houston area?

If so, shop recommendations?

tnx!

Yep, 3 lifts done in Houston area, all at 4wheelparts. Had a 96 Surburban with a 3"body lift, a 97 z71 with a 6" procomp, and a 99 Crew Cab Super Duty with a 5" National Spring. 4wheelparts by the dome did all of these lifts, they generally will give you the best price if shop around and tell them the cheapest you found. They will meet anyones price and have a pretty good reputation on doing the job right the first time.

There is a very highly regarded 4 x 4 shop right off of Westheimer, near Hwy 6. It is right across a side street from Pep Boys, kind of tucked into a corner. If you find it, you will know, there are a lot of trucks/jeeps there that are taller than me!

I can't remember the name, but I have done business there and they are good, honest folk. I have seen some of the work they do and all of it is awesome.

As for lowering see Steve Drier at Houston Performance, Hwy 249 & Beltway 8. Another good shop, but you will get what you pay for.

I haven't had anything done on my F-150 at Houston Performance (just got the F-150!), but I've had over $10 grand worth of stuff done on my Mustang there, and highly recommend them. Michael Sen-Roy, their technical director, is the zen-master of Ford performance, and Steve Drier runs a great business.

rgds,
Gary

The place on Westheimer is called Off-Road Unlimited, I've been by there once to talk and they seem pretty good.

There is another place called USA Conversions somewhere off of 1960 on the north side of town that does some work as well. A friend of mine had his 98 F150 4WD lifted there and it turned out good.
