Question What is EZ990

What is EZ990. Been thinking of installing add-a-leaf lift to the back of my truck. I have the front torsion bars cranked for 33"s but I miss my back end up in the air . Also thinking of installing Air bags with the add-a-leafs or without. Which brands do you recommend? Any suggestions would be nice!

EZ990's are Hellwig's light-duty helper spring. It looks like just the top part of their LP series helpers. It goes on top of your spring package with U-bolts on the other end. I didn't notice any change in performance, only a change in load levelling, which I reckon is good. I have overloaded my truck by about 700 lbs above GVWR, and the rear springs bent straight. Before, near max payload, the rear springs are straight, over that it is bent upside down. EZ990's are great if you need to haul stuff and want to have less drop, but if you are like me, you probably need something more heavy duty, which the LP series and airbags are. Helpers BTW won't increase height. Go with add-a-leafs for height, airbags or helpers for load.

Thumbs up

Thanks Good_Guy. I will probably go with add-a-leaf in the back. What brand of airbags would y'all recommend? There's alot of different brands and style of bags. Does anyone have experience with these? Is the compressor worth the extra money. I've heard some kits come with an auxillary line so you can run air tools. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
