Lowering kit
I'm thinking about lowering my truck a little can someone recommend a kit? Can I do it myself?

Just bought this truck and I love it. I guess I better cause I gave up my classic Mustang for it.
Thinking of several upgrades, Superchip, Tinted windows, bed cover, step(i'm kinda short)

The online store here sells a 2"/4" and a 3"/4" drop kit. It depends on how low you want to go up front. You might want to take it to a shop if you drop the front end.

Hey ROUSHFAN,
Just for reference, how much does the Roush kit hit you in the wallet. Also the rear leafs change your ride and handling characteristics in the rear which some people may not like. How much stiffer are the rear leafs and does the truck bounce more or less?

it's pretty close to $1000...........it comes with front coils -3",front bumpstops, cam bolts, front bilstien shocks, rear leafs -3.5",rear bilstien shocks....it cuts your payload down and the ride is a little stiffer but i was looking for performance not just the look of a lowered truck.....i didn't mind paying more for a whole kit that is engineered to perform as one...instead of pick a part here and there(not that thats wrong)just not what i was looking for ,,,good luck on the 20's ,wish i could afford them they look awsome on the fords!!!!!!

WOW!!! Roush fan...that is a GREAT deal on a complete Roush lowering kit...I've seen much higher pricing for that kit.
Ponyfan...you can go a number of ways...pricing is of course always a factor for most, and performance (as Roush Fan has) and then looks w/performance, or just looks alone. Again, there is also the question of "do you want the same load capabilities"?
What I started with was the 3/4" Coils, shackles, hangers (and Roush Fan is soooo right those stock hangers are a Bit*# to get off. Then you can go with a 'C' notch/flip kit...lowers the rear 5-6" but keeps the same spring rate and geometry. I'm making this switch this weekend.
Then there is the radical 4 Link rear w/bags, or the "bridge" for extreme.
The 3/4" or the Roush can be done by the individual, but please have some capabilities (mechanically), we certainly dont need any crushed, disabled, or dead members!!!!

I wish I could have gone with the Roush kit, but the funds don't allow for it right now. I know the Eibach springs do a lot for the fron suspension and I am hoping the Rick Doetsch shocks will help the backs suspension be better also. I ordered this kit from Sport truck direct out of truckin magazine with the Eibach springs, Western chassis hangers and shackles, Doetsch Tech shocks, and caster/camber adjustment parts for just a little over $500 including shipping. The springs are 3" for front and the shackles are adjustable for 4" or 5" in the rear.
I am dreading chopping the hangers, but my father-in-law has air tools, so maybe it won't be too bad.
Everything is supposed to arive today!!

Wooo Hooo,
The my kit finally arrived yesterday evening. All the parts look great. The Eibach springs are powder coated. The western chassis shackles and hangers are really "beefy" built and all the welds are awesome and the finish is great. No rough edges or anything. Hopefully can get the kit on before too much longer.

Can anyone show me a picture of their truck after its been lowered, and also tell me how much they lowered them. I have an f150 4.6L 5spd (fast ****), reg cab, long bed. I like the long bed cause it makes the truck look so sleek, but with the stock suspension, tires, and wheels, it looks like i'm a construction company or something. I need help guys. Thanks.
