Question Suspension Lift ???

I have a '99 F-250LD 4X4 supercab. I wanted to run 33" tires. Someone at a custom shop talked me into cranking up the torsion bars on my truck. The problem is that both sides didn't go up evenly. I have one adjustment almost tight and the other is out some. With both of the adjustments in the same place, truck wouldn't sit level!! Now it is NEARLY level. (you really can't tell unless you look hard). Did I do something wrong? All I want to do is run 33" tires on 8" rims. I don't want to lift the truck much more, just enough to clear the extra width of the rims. I have the 33's on my stock rims, but would like to change it in the future.
I also would like to add an add-a leaf kit to the rear and or air-ride springs. What brands do you recommend. Need more capacity for hauling seed and such for the farm.
Sorry for the lengthy post. Just had a bunch of questions. Any help would be great!!
