Angry Going back to stock height

Well, I give up and decided to go back to stock height as soon as my ordered stock hangers comes in. I can no longer stand the bottoming out and clunking noise everytime I go thru a dip or pothole (even with airbags).
Even though I love the way it look and handle after lowered I cannot withstand the torture seems like the truck is going through. I used to have four of my buddies in my truck with no bottoming out at all, now with just the four of us the darn thing bottoms out even with 35psi in the airbags. I advise if anyone going to do their drop, you will gain some handling but will also lose on the load and ride. I never felt so much bounce and road vibration ever.
It cost me 450.00 for the kit plus 200.00 to modify the exhaust system, 55.00 to realign the front end, 40.00 for the alignment cam kit not including the hard labors.
I had a local shop to checked the install of the kit and everything is solid and correct.
He even said this is what I have to live with after lowered. Now I have to spend an additional 150.00 for the stock hangers, another 200.00 to return the exhaust to previous position, 55.00 to realign it to stock and go through the install process again.
Oh well, 1000.00 + down the drain and learn a hard lesson. I hope this will help others out and don't make this mistake I made unless they really look into it hard before start cutting away. I don't know how are our other members with their truck lowered felt.
I really hope they don't have this type of problems I'm having. Hope it all goes well. But I'm sorry but to me it really sucks!
PS: Ground Force shocks really sucks! Go with Belltech or Bilstein. steve

WOW!!! I used Aim Industries 4/3 kit: hangers, shackles, shims, shocks - for the rear, coils and shocks for the front. I have the smae ride quality, and have never bottomed out...geez...thats too bad MIF. I really like the look as well and am glad it doesn't bottom out. I even had it LOADED when I moved to NM. 5240 LB. trailer and the bed loaded - total weight 10,240 LBs. no problems or bottoming (although the hitch was very, very close to the ground).
Better luck next time (if there will be).

Unhappy

Thanks cableguy, the problem is mainly the rear suspension and I'm glad to hear you put that much load with no problem. I mostly run with the bed empty with the bottoming out and can you imagine if I put half of your load on it? Now my biggest problem of all is going to be my other half with the
"I TOLD YOU SO AND LEAVE IT ALONE" thing and I think it's earplugs time. Thanks. steve

Not to **** anyone off but if you buy a truck you shouldn't lower it, the F-150's are low enough. I say raise it till its barely legal.

Cool

Thanks MIF, wow, I too could justimagine hearing thatone...oh boy....good luck partner!!!

Bones, I have an old saying, 4x4 - raise it high, 4x2 - how low can ya go! You say the Ford is already LOW...my goodness their was 7+" of clearance between the top of the rear tire and the fender lip...with street tires...yikes...if I wanted that kind of clearance I'd stick with my old 4x4, but I just (personal opinon)don't care for that look on a 4x2...thanks anyways.
