Easy way to lower rear of truck?
Hello does anyone know of an easy, and low cost way to lower the rear of the truck without causeing problems with leaf spring wind up and wheel hop? I do not use the truck for hauling or towing, so payload is not an issue for me. I would like to lower the rear to remove the rake that exsists with an empty truck. The goal is to lower the center of gravity a little to improve handling, without causing off the line wheel hop. The truck is a 99 F-150 w/120" wheelbase 5.4L motor and 3.55 gears. Thanks for the help.

Hey, the easiest way to level the rear of your truck would be by using 2in. drop shackles. There are several threads concerning this issue. As far as price, www.truckn.com sells them for $44.99. I hopefully will be ordering some within the next week . . . hope this helps . . .

This is exactly what I want too. My question is this: Do you need the wedges for 2" dropped shackles?
