Post Performance Accessories Lift

Has anyone installed the Performance Accessories body lift kit? I was looking
into their 3" lift, it's only $130.00 and
I was wondering if anyone has installed this, and if they like it. Also, was is
easy, hard, or did you have someone else do it? I know it includes directions and alot of people do it themselves, but I'm not sure if I could do that, I don't know too much about the under side. But I did install the
westin nerfs myself, so if it's any easier then those I guess I could do it.

Anyone?

Hello..I have installed that same kit on my truck. I is a very good, complete kit but is quite a bit harder than installing nerf bars!
It took a couple of nights to do(I did it by myself). Really all that is involed is getting to all the frame bolts in the bed, all bolts in cab(must remove back seat) and a couple up front. Then install the blocks, tighten them down, lower the radiator shroud, add steering shaft extension(kind of a pain), install trans. shift cable bracket(real big pain), and repostion the bumpers. You'll have to adjust the Trans. range sensor and also adjust the shift indicator at the colum. I think thats is about it. I might have forgot something but thats the jist of it. Its not real hard but not a cake walk either. It will go much easier and quicker with some help. Give it a try. Just folow the instuction very carefully. If you have any questions, just ask. Good luck

Question

I was thinking about getting that performance accessories 3" kit for my 99'. Now does that trans. cable extension, and steering arm come with the kit? Because Iwas on her the other day and saw a truck with 3" body lift and 35" BFG's with no problems. Anybody out there know of frame mount brush guard for the 99's? I like the Smittybuilt, but don't want to drill holes in my bumpers.

Yes, everything comes with the kit. It's not a cable extension but a bracket extension at the trans. and a steering knuckle extension. You'll want to probably puchase "lift Lips" to cover the space between the frame and body(cost about $45). 35" will fit with just a body lift but does not leave alot of room and I personally like the susp. lift w/body lift for the looks and the addit. room. Plus I'm planning on putting 36" Cepeks on sometime. Hope that helps.

I have put this kit on my truck also. If you have the 5.4l motor you will not have to install the transmission range sensor relocation bracket. I am running 35" BFG Mud Terrains with no clearance problems. I have also added a set of add-a-leafs, but I had the 35's on before the add-a-leafs. If you have any questions let me know. You can see my truck at http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Mesa/9131

The Smittybilt is frame mounted, and only requires drilling on the frame. It does not mount directly to your bumper, but to a bracket that attaches to the back of the bumper mount. However, if you have a body lift installed, you will probably have to customize the brackets a little.

I'm going to order my Smittybuilt brush guard this week(Chrome or stainless). You two have some sweet trucks, conqsoft, our trucks are identical except I have dark graphite int.

Hey Guys~
I have been considering a body lift but I hate they way the lower valance looks when it is cut to fit the frame. If you know what I'm talking about, is there any way around this????

Question

Anybody know if 33x14.50 **** Cepek Fun Countries will fit with the body lift. Because Tyres International has four for $400, I'll be putting them on Weld Scorpio wheels. I trail ride, go duning, and a little bit of mud, just don't want them to hit when I'm fully turned.

Yeah, they would fit but I would absolutly put the body lift on for clearence reasons since you do go offroad. Plus they are a wide tire so you probably wont get the turning radius like you have now. It will look great though.

I'm pretty sure they would fit with a body lift. They might even fit without one, a lot of guys here are runnin 33's with no lift and have no problems.

Thanks guys. Most of the off-roading I do is at Silver Lake dunes, just want to be able to turn without tearing up the fender. As soon as I get things together, I'll post a couple of pictures. Thanks again.
