New Shocks?

Hey all! I have a 98 F 150 4x4 Off Road; it's at the stock height. I want to get new shocks that will offer better handling (my truck stays on the road these days). Has anyone gone this route? I was hoping for advice on what brand to use.

Go with Bilstein's. Great shock. Much improved ride and handling. Lifetime warranty.

My .02 cents

The Bilstein's are great shocks. Excellent warranty and reuptation. However, If your not going off road, you may want to consider a shock that provides good handling but is not overly firm. I would suggest the Rancho RSX or Monroe Reflex if on a budget. Their around $45 a piece. They provide a good highway ride with some off road capability. Or, you could go with the Rancho 9000 and "dial" them into your liking. Whatever you choose, rest assured it will be better than stock. I just put Monroe Reflex's on my Expy and it was a vast improvement. Of course after 70k, any new shock would make a difference. Good Luck!
