Vibration problem..Rancho?

Anyone have any experience w/ Rancho 5000's?

Last year this time, I change the factory shock, in favor of the 5000's. About 6 months ago, I noticed a vibration when braking. Thinking it's the rotors, I checked runout; both rotors, inners & outers: 0.002-0.007" However, the vibration is not always there when braking, nor do I feel it in the pedal.

I told the alignment shop about it: They said they couldn't feel anything.

I am thinking that the shocks are resonating with the drivetrain & road in some circumstances, creating the vibration.

I fear that I may have to spend another $150 on factory type gas shocks to fix the problem.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Tony

Have you checked the wheel bearings?

Thanks Dave!

No...I have checked end play though: Seems OK. I did have a problem w/ Mobil1 Synthetic grease, when I first replaced the factory rotors, over a year ago. The oil separated from the soap base. I haven't had that problem w/ Valvoline Synthetic.

I also thought it might be the tires, but that was eliminated last month, when they were replaces w/ new Michelins.

Starting to look like I need to bite the bullet & buy new shocks.
