how to drain oil w/Fabtech 6" lift-kit

How do you guys drain your oil without making a big mess when the oil starts to drain. I spilled about 11/ 2quarts on my truck and driveway. I have a cross member(support) going across the oil drain plug that does not alow me drain the oil into my oil pan.

Try bending some aluminum foil into a funnel (or channel) to divert the oil into your bucket. That's what you had to do on old trucks with the "FE" motor if you did not want to get the crossmember dripping in 8 different areas.

If there is room, you can install the Fram "Sure Drain" on your next oil change.

Click on the "Sure Drain" Pic.
