Shocks

This has probably been asked before and I will probably sound stupid but I have a question about the rear shocks. How are they normally mounted. With one in front of the axle and the other behind the axle? Or with both behind the axle? I noticed that both of mine were behind the axle and the only way that I have ever seen them mounted is one in front and one in the rear. I was just curious. I have noticed that my truck is lower in the back than other F150's. Could this be why?

I just don't know much about suspension, that is why I am asking.

It varies. I have a SuperCab and they are both mounted behind the rear axle. On the Screws the passenger side is mounted in front of the rear axle.

Thanks, I just noticed it and it had me wondering. I have the supercab too. I guess maybe it is in the 4x4 and the Fx4's and supercrews that they are mounted opposite of each other.
