Sway bar upgrade

I have a 4x4 Screw and wanted to know if anyone has upgraded their anti-sway bars. Did it help? What brand did you buy?

Thanks,

Rick

First of all they don't have a rear anti-sway bar from the factory. Once you add one you'll wonder why they weren't offered from the factory. There are a couple of different ones out there (i.e. Hellwig, Hotchkiss, etc.). I used a Hellwig. It was by far the cheapest. Easy to install and wouldn't drive with out it. I'm sure Hotchkiss makes a super product also.

I have a 2001 SCrew 2x4 to which I've added a Hellwig rear swaybar. Easy install and made a world of difference in terms of handling. No more body roll. Can not believe Ford doesn't install a rear bar on these trucks. I've heard Hotchkis also makes a super product, but they only offered a swaybar set (i.e. front and rear bars) for my truck. I only felt I needed the rear bar and Hellwig offered that option. The price was also right.
Good luck.

Pretty easy, should take you no more than an hour and a half. Mine ran about $130.

Got my Hellwig from Summit Racing. Paid $129.00, S&H was $8.00, total: $137.00. Big help, especially for me when towing the TT.

Don't forget to have a quick disconnect of some sort. You don't want the extra ridgedness when offroading. Basically you need the extra articulation of the suspention to avoid sending every bump right into the cab.
