Question Will my warranty cover it?

Just noticed that I have about a half-inch tear in the leather on my driver's seat. Located where the head rest is. Will my dealer fix it under warranty?

They should 36month/36000 bumper to bumper warranty right? I would think that the seats are between the bumpers forementioned

I'm thinking the same thing. Bumper-to-bumper means everything? Anyone else had an experience with the seats?

I'd say it should definately be covered. This is obviously something that you couldn't have done with normal wear and tear. It's a defect.

Again, it's just my two cents but, it shouldn't be a problem getting warranty work done here...

seats

I had one of my back seats recovered under warranty, I think it has to be a seam letting go though, I don't think they will cover puncture rips

Based on where this rip is located, I find it very hard to believe that they would try to deny a claim stating that it's a puncture. It'd be hard to get a pen or something like that all the way up there at the head rest...

Good luck!

Leather is ripping too

I have just noticed that the drivers side leather seat back,
at the right headrest post is ripping also.

I had the seat bottom replaced a year ago, now I recently noticed this spot. If anyone makes a warranty claim, let me know.

My Truck had the same issue. The dealer had to check with ford.
But they did replace the top section of the seat.

They did get the color wrong on the first order, but got it right the second time.

Also, the service manager said "aint you the radiator guy?",( we had a big argument about my towing package)

good luck

I had the same problem with the front passenger seat. Brought it to the dealer to replace and they decided to use a vinyl seat repair kit. I wasn't happy about that but thought that it was such a minor thing I wouldn't amke a stink about it since it looked like new. That was 6 months ago. Now, that tear has reappeared and another tear appeared by the other post for the headrest. Almost to 36k miles, so I am going to bring it back in for final warranty repairs and insist on a new seat cover.
