Factory Tint?
If you do some searching, you will find serveral post about window tinting. Many have tinted there fronts to match the backs and I think 20% sounds a bit dark. You should search first.
I have a limo tint on top of my factory tint (very dark) and then a 45% tint on the fronts. I live in California and legally you can't tint the front windows but with the dark back windows and the lightest tint on the front you can get, the contrast makes it look as if the front windows are not tinted at all but it still blocks a fair amount of the sun and UV rays.

I use Llumar ATR 20 CH everyday at my shop on FORDS, I think it matches up the best, besides its a metalized film and reduces fading and discoloration overtime.
I think the factory film is 18% or so, but the Llumar matches nearly perfect, only a tinter can tell the difference.

I took mine to the Highway Patrol Station and asked a Trooper to meter the back widows for me.... 20%. I had 20% installed in the front. My installer did such a great job you cannot tell its not factory in the front without looking really hard at it.
FWIW, anything over 30% on the front in FL is illegal (25 is limit on rear - factory tints are exempt). Oh well.

Yea but if it looks good and your not messing around on the road, then most cops will leave you alone. Remember there driving Fords too....
You can barley see inside my truck because of the tint on the back windows plus the front, and I have sat next to cops at intersections, be passed on the highway serveral times, and no issues. The contrast between the front and back just make it look like the factory, unless another SCREW is right next to me.

yeah, but having that just gives them a viable reason to pull you over if they want to... kinda like a marker light with a burnt out bulb. If they want to pull you, you have now given them cause. I have nothing to hid, so being pulled is only a time inconvenience.
Maybe the police there have better things to be doing, but traveling through a poor revenue looking po-dunk town... I don't need to display a reason for them to pull. Just don't need it.

I was driving down Interstate 8 here in San Diego last night and a buick (i think) sped by me and I was thinking about jumping on it and chasing them for a while (normally dont do this but just came from the races
)
Anyways I just kicked it and played with my cruise control and out of nowhere a CHP flew by me cut across 3 lanes and got up right behind this guy, paced him for about 10 seconds and hit the lights. Kinda scared me as that could have been me.
I was going 78MPH when the CHP passed me and this guy was doing 85-90. So that was a steep ticket. So me going 12 MPH over teh speed limit didn't even draw attention at around midnight.
My whole point of the story is if you change lanes too fast, are going faster than everyone, leading a pack, etc. attention can be drawn to you and thats not good. So drive in a relaxed manner and hopefully the "5.0s" will leave you alone. Hmmmm "4.6s" just dosen't have the same ring to it does it
