Holy Cow MangeMD, how in the hell do you do that??? I have almost the same set up as you and the best I have done on highway, round town, or anything is 14-15, and that's an absolute best. That's even after trying to correct for the speedo being off...Please share with me your secrets.

Mine sits for weeks on end without driving it. This winter it won't see the light of day. I have put 6K miles on it in the last 12 months towing the car. I think the "sitting" contributes to the poor mileage.

Thanks for all of the responses. This will help the planning over the winter. :-)

Galaxy, that 19.3 was in SC while on vacation. It is very flat there. I only get around 18 on the highway otherwise.

Yea, but still....18???? 15 was my all time best on the highway and that's a stretch. I see you have a hard tonneau cover. I'm sure that helps but wonder if it makes that big of a difference??

5.4 4x4 3.55 - always 14-15, fairly heavy foot. Last tank was 15.8 mostly highway (although ~80mph). My 99 with 3.73s was always 13.5 - 15.5.

Check my sig below for my specs and mods. I normally get around 14-15 in the city and 16-17 on the highway. I am a bit of a lead foot though so I think that I could do better. I have not taken a long enough trip to use up the whole gas tank on just the highway but maybe one day......

A trip up to LA (business) from San Diego was about 100 miles each way, and a few days in town, all came out to about 16.3 MPG. Not bad considering I was doing 80+MPH on the way up and back.
