Only one problem since I bought it 2 1/2 years ago. See the thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...threadid=90237 for my one problem.

Mine has worked fine for the almost two years I've had it, the ONLY thing that happened with it, was some kind of bracket inside came loose, and would slide back and forth when I start/stopped. Luckily it was shut when it fell loose.
A day or two at the dealer and it was fixed....perfect so far after. BTW, this is my first moon roof in a vehicle and it kicks butt!

May I suggest looking until you get a POWER sliding rear window. This was hard to find on the '02s I looked at but it is a great feature. I crack my sunroof and the rear window all from the driver's seat. It creates a nice air flow in the cab. The power rear window was an absolute must for me.
Ive had mine all of 3000 miles and like it quite a lot. I have noticed that when closed it seems to have an inherant tilt which appears to leave more of the rubber seal exposed on the rear than the front. My post is more to poll other owners if this is normal or not (my dads expy seems to sit more level). It did not leak through the great floods of 2002, and as soon as it does I'll know its a problem.
dissent,
I know exactly what you're talking about when it comes to it 'leaning' more towards the front. Mine does EXACTLY the same thing. More of the seal is exposed in the back than in the front.
I, however, as you may have read in another moonroof post, have had leaks but, I don't believe that it was 'tilt' related. That seal that we're speaking of actually had a place in it that 'bucked up' and allowed some water to enter under the seal between the glass of the moonroof and the seal. Like I mentioned in that other post, it's fixed.... and I'm a happy camper.

most of these type sunroofs actually do not seal around the edge like you might think.
The seal keeps out gross amounts of water but the area under the seal has a drip tray that drains down the posts.
Let one of the drains get blocked (dirt dobbers) and you will see how much water gets past the outer seal. Ive only seen two plug but they were easy to fix on a vw. small wire or better yet weed-eater line cause its not too sharp and the drains are plastic tube.
All that said, I like mine too and have has no probs

I have had no problems with my moonroof. Works great. No leaks. Worth every penny IMHO. I have two comments on the design, though.
The moonroof on my Taurus automatically closes about 5 seconds after engine shutoff. I really like that feature. If I want to leave it open, I just hit the button during that 5 seconds and the roof stays open. I wish the Screw's did that as well.
Secondly, what is the deal with the liner under the moonroof? If I want to "tilt" the moonroof open, the liner is designed to cover the opening. What the heck is that all about? This is a design flaw, IMHO. Has anyone developed a fix for this, such as removing the bump stops for the liner?

Mine is broken. They have cheap plastic parts in the mechanism that break. Ford will only sell me the entire moonroof frame with motor for $800 to fix a 50 cent piece of plastic. So for now it is held in place with tape. I have also had the window regulators break in 3 of the 4 windows so far due to cheap plastic parts. 2005 King Ranch with 50,000 miles. The rear slider only works about 25% of the time, so hard to tell if it is broken yet. The passenger rear window is currently jammed in place while I decide if I want to spend $180 for a regulator or trade it in as is on a Chevy.
