Mike and Conway,

I was wondering if either one of you received any rebates or incentives from Ford on your new 03 Screw's?

Called VOPC this morning. Truck is scheduled to be built week of Sept 9th, with an ETA week of Sept 23rd!

No there were none available. I paid true invoice for the truck. I got the same deal on this from the same dealer I bought my first one from. I don't believe there are any available out there for the 03's. The dealers and manufacture have little or no inventory on these vehicles.

Mike,

My salesman told me that I would be eligible for whatever incentives Ford is giving at the time of delivery. Did your dealer throw you the same deal???

Yep that is standard for any reputable Ford dealer. The day your truck arrives any and all applicable incentives apply. I read somewhere they may be offering 0% on all 03 sales. However, that usually has small print which say "Must be sold from dealer inventory". Depending on how nice of a guy your salesman is you may be able to get around that.

It's not up to the salesman, it would be the New Car Sales Manager or the General Manager that approves... you just gotta get the salesman to ask for what you want.

No incentives were availble to me when I picked mine up, either. But they have traditionally given me whatever was available on the day I have picked up.

They moved my hitch, cab-steps, and hands-free phone system from my 01 to my new truck for free, though. Saved me a lot of money and trouble. Got a Ford cap and free tank of gas.

Thumbs down

Thanks for the info on DORA, etc. The 800 number is a great resource and certainly easier than trying to get the info from the dealer... but SHAZAM is that voice recognition POOR. It took me about 30 minutes to finally get through all the information it was asking.

BTW- one of the things threw me for a loop: A lot of references here talk about the "4-digit" order number... my order number consists of an alpha character followed by three numerals. Maybe this was obvious to some, but wasn't for me. After giving up on trying to tell that cursed computer my vin number, I was just picking other codes on my vehicle order maintenance printout my sales guy gave me. Shew.

Hasta la taco,
jC. '01 screw going up for sale soon and '03 on the way

Hmmm on your DORA your order number should be a digit then a letter followed by four digits (I think), Example: 1A2345 you drop the letter so the order number is 12345!

Talking

Believe it or not, my order number as listed on the form is "*R587W08" ... knowing W08 is the body type, I used R587 as the order number - and it worked in the Ford 800-number. The dealer code was listed under the "ship to" field - it had 5-digits with a letter "K" in the middle, which got dropped as you described earlier.

My new SCREW is supposed to be built next week... gotta put together the forsale page on the old one this weekend.

Hasta,
jC.

Hey Mike et al,

Well called VOPC last night and it said as of 9/10 "Vehicle has been shipped via carrier"

Checked today and it said as of 9/12 "Vehicle is at that ramp" whatever the hell that means... LOL

So, I hope to see my truck within the next week or two. Keep your fingers crossed, I know I have mine crossed!

Mike,

Well my truck is in, but I can't pick it up due to the fact that I have been away on business this week. I will be picking it up tomorrow Sat 9/21! I will post some pics ASAP
