Toluene In my Supercrew? does it help?

Hi there, I was over browsing in the Lightning Forum and found that a lot of those guys use Toluene (from a paint/chemical store) as an octane booster, Will this harm my motor? I have a 2001 SuperCrew 4x4 off road with the 5.4 motor. I`m leaving in a few weeks to head onto a long trip, will Toluene help my truck get better gas mileage? What misture should I use on a full tank?

Thanks,
Wes

Toulene

Toulene is added as an octane booster.
I have played with it in both my Supercrew, and my Lightning, but only to safisfy my curiousity.
First of all it is very lethal to the respiratory system and is known to cause cancer.
Secondly, I felt it made a slight improvement in performance.
I now just buy Sunoco 94 Ultra and feel comfortable with it.
There is a lot of information on both Toulene, and Xylene on the Buick web sights as the Grand National guys have used it for years.
I mixed a gallon or Toulene with about 6 gallons of gas.
Why pay $5.85 a gallon for it when you can just buy better gas?
