Hey guys. I am getting a little worried about the passenger side oil leak (head gasket) that seems to be common with romeo built engines. Although my truck seems to be o.k. so far i was wondering how do you identify a romeo or windsor engine (5.4 4x4) that comes in the supercrews. thanks

 

AFAIK, all of the 5.4L engines are from Windsor, only the 4.6 can come from either Windsor or Romeo and on those you can tell by either the VIN or by counting valve cover bolts.

 

My engine has a white sticker on the driver's side valve cover that says windsor.
