Another New SuperCrew
Another New SuperCrew
Just wanted to say "hi" all to this board. Been reading it for quite some time, and have been impressed with the input and information that everyone shares.
This is about my 40-something new vehicle that I have purchased (yes, my wife wants me to get professional help...hehe), and I can honestly say that this Ford is one vehicle I honestly get excited about (just short my vettes <grin>). I recently got rid of my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Sport. Compared to my new Supercrew, the Dodge was greatly lacking in quality and performance (but sure looked good with my mods
). In anycase, with the Supercrew, I get to combine family/work/play all in one vehicle that looks great, runs great, and is super tight and quiet (compared to my Dodges and Chevies).I already have some mods done, and would like to show off if I ever get some digital pics taken and figure out how to load them here.
Mountaincat.....Welcome Welcome Welcome!
Please get those pics posted as soon as you can....I to just purchased a 2002 Supercrew FX4 Lariat (True Blue). I also have installed the Gibson "Sweptside" SI/SO cat back exhaust and the K&N stock replacement filter...probably the best combo for gains in pulling power!
Traded in my 2001 Supercrew XLT 4x4 (4.6L) for the 2002 FX4....I love this truck, all of my buddies drive Chey's but they sure are looking over this FX4 Lariat pretty closely!!

Thanks all! It really is nice to have a place to talk about our trucks and show off a little too (nice that so many are proud of their vehicles). Of course, a big thumbs up to the creator of this site! I think it is a lot of work to maintain this and I really appreciate the fact that so much effort goes into this website for our enjoyment.
I will try and get a pic posted within the next week or so. Your vehicles all sound/look pretty nice too. Looking forward to talking with everyone in the future.

Hey Summitman:
Actually, I don't run snowmobiles (unfortunately, as I would love to do so). My sig is really just a reference to the area I live. Albuquerque sits in the Rio Grande basin, and has a mountain range at almost 11,000 feet that defines the eastern border, and provides lots of snow skiing, hiking/camping, cliff climbing, hunting, and parajumping. It is also home to bear, big horn sheep, deer, and mountian lions (hence my sig). But you gave me something to think about. Now if I could just justify it with my wife...lol.
Hi 2001:
I know what you mean about Chevy (and Dodge) friends looking over your vehicle. Don't you just love it? I just wish I could stay up with my Chevy friends though, but I knew their engines were more powerful when I decided on the Ford anyway. I just figured the utility (I love the full size/split rear seats), looks, quality, and refinement made up the difference, and then some.

Screwyou! (I love that sig...lol)
Nice truck! The two tone white/silver looks great (I had seriously considered that combo until I saw the red/dark shadow combo). Also, the acetoned badges looks pretty wild too! Nice job!

mountaincat, doubt if you'll have much luck convincing your wife to buy snowmobiles as little as it snowed here this year.welcome onboard maybe we can get together and compare trucks sometime. I have a 2002 Screw Lariat FX4 in white.

Yeah, I pretty much like it here myself, but I know what you mean about going to Colorado for the mountains. I lived in Ouray for a bit and loved it too. Good luck on your elk tags!
Hi Robdude30 and Bill!
Thanks! Yeah Bill...not much chance on the snowmobile. Talk about a disappointing year (I missed out on skiing this year). That is great your an Albuquerquen too! Congrats on your new Lariat Super. I was thinking about a Lariat, but I had leather on my last truck and couldn't keep up with cleaning the seats all the time (okay, I was lazy), so I opted for the cloth seats. But either way, what a great truck! That would be cool to check out our trucks sometime. I have seen other threads where Crew owners have gotten together, even from other states (well...eastern states...lol). I am hoping to post a pic soon, so maybe you'll see me driving around town.
