Hoping for help, haven't yet seen reference to this issue here. In the midst of buying a 2001 SCrew Lariat (like the leather seats, three kids). Problem is the rear seat headrests and shoulder strap, or lack thereof. It's an obvious safety issue, so my wife and I wondered if anyone had heard of an aftermarket mod to the seats (or complete replacement seat) to provide the safety we want for the kids. Hey there, I have an 01 Screw with a 5.4l I just went to the muffler shop and had 'em hack out the muffler and put a pipe in the gap. We were expecting it to be obnoxiously loud and pop on deceleration, BUT I guess the Ford catalytic converters give plenty of backpressure and enough scavenging effect cuz I have ZERO popping and it sounds PURRfect!! plus when you rev it way up it does get loud on the muffer side of the truck, but it's NEVER strait out redneck like loud, BESIDES for 30-40 bucks why not try it??? That's how I ended up with this setup, cuz I just couldn't wait to get a flowmaster, and since it was so perfect I just left it alone!! PS I have the K&N FIRPK and it's great too. I only wish it looked cooler.
