Brake Time!
Sorry guys, I've been busy with work / out of town / ect...
At this point I would not recommend my setup.
I am having technical difficulties with it.
Rear rotors warped at 8K.
My recommendation would be to NOT spend monies.
Just get OEM rotors / turned, and pads of your choice.
Will keep all posted.

2001 Supercrew Front Brake wear
I just had my rotors turned and pads replaced at 23K. Seems way too soon, especially considering the unit has mostly highway miles. The truck is not quite a year old. I also had to replace the very expensive front tires at 15K because of cupping (I failed to rotate). Has anyone else had similar experiences.

I know some guys that had a lot of trouble with warped rotors. They were going thru 2-3 rotors a year. Most of the problems went away when they started paying attention to putting the proper torque on the lug nuts. It seems that they were pulling the rotors into a warp by overtighting. I have also heard you can warp a rotor by hitting a deep water puddle when the rotor is heated up from a recent hard stop. Just some thoughts.
Infernal Combustion,
I think you are absolutely correct.... some shops have the airgun torque set so high it is ridiculous, and they don't get them all evenly tightened or worse yet, overly tightened, when mine goes in for work, I insist that my lugs be torqued with a torque wrench, not an airgun and torqued to spec. Keeps the rotors straight.... I have had more than one vehicle that the rotors all the sudden warped, always immediately following a visit to a shop where a front tire had been removed.

What about ceramic pads?
I recently took my wifes Taho in and my guy told me that those trucks will squeak if I didin't use them. They were a little more expensive but not one squeak in 4k miles. The last time I did that truck it went back to the shop 4 times because of making noise.
Hey whay we are on the subject. Brakes wear because of the way you drive! A guy I know has 250k on a Nissan truck with original brakes. I am still trying to prove him wrong.
