Rear Cargo Light problem
Hello all,
I am having trouble with my rear cargo lights (the ones that shine into the bed). I was wondering if any of you were having the same problem. I started noticing it after I installed the Superchip. I don't know if they are related, but that just happened to be when I noticed it.
I have swapped out the bulbs from light to light and it's not the bulbs. It appears to be a wiring problem, but I'm not sure what's causing it.
I can get either one to work but not both.
Any thoughts?

Not really sure on this one...
I do know this... the rear brake light/bed light assembly plugs in via a plug. You might check the connection to make sure it hasn't 'wiggled' loose. Also, the wires that control that entire assembly are located beneath your headliner. You might drop the headliner and double check the wiring.... I'm shooting in the dark here but, am trying to help...
Also, I seriously doubt that the superchip would affect the rear cargo.... very interesting observation however, I would suspect that it's mearly a coincidence.
Is the brake light working correctly? Any other lighting problems that you've noticed on the vehicle?

RockPick,
Thanks for the reply. I doubt that's it's chip related also. I just noticed it because (as always happens) I was showing off my new chip to some friends and they noticed the light not working. It's that always how it goes, you show off some cool new gadget and someone notices an unrelated problem! Oh well.
The brake light works fine and the odd thing is that I can get either white light to work, but just not together. I tried changing the plugs, changing the bulbs etc. Originally I thought the buld was burnt out, but when I replaced it, it still didn't work.
I'm baffled!

As bad as I would hate to do it, you might need to take er' in to the dealership. You're still under warranty I'm sure and thus, they could take a look. Sounds like you might have a faulty assembly... hard to say.
Just be careful when you take it in... I believe (not certain) that the superchip will void the warranty thus, you might want to take that off and reset the computer....
I SERIOUSLY DOUBT that they'd hook it up to diagnostics however, these days, you can't ever tell what the dealership will want to do...
GOOD LUCK!
