factory mud flaps

I know this has been discussed before factory vs Husky flaps. I have a Supercrew with a chrome tub bar with factor mud flaps on the front and back. The ones on the front work great, the ones on the back are crap....I have seen Supercrews with the same factory flaps on the front and back. Does anyone have factory mud flaps that are the same on the front and back? I have asked the local ford dealer and they say the ones I have are the correct ones for the back, but I just don't think they are right?

No I sure don't. The flaps I have on the front are wider and longer. The ones on the back are short and skinny, they don't really cover the back of the truck very well. I have seen other crews like mine with the larger flaps on the back. Their fronts and back are the same flaps and they look like the factory ones.

order a set from the dealer, then compare ... if they are the same ones you have just return them ... if they are different raise a little he** and tell them you want to return the original ones .

both front & rear are molded ! although they are not exactly the same , front has a different contour where it attaches to the truck body kinda like a wing ( ?) the rear just has like a tab that sticks out to put a screw through.

I'm looking at the catalog and it says " order in pairs , specify 4X2 or 4X4 and trim package " that may be what's confuseing your parts people ... ask another dealer

The front and back are both molded (hard plastic) flaps. The front is wider and longer than the back. The back ones are skinny and smaller than the front ones. The dealer says the reason for the different flaps is because the supercrew bed (rear area) is different than the other f-150 flairside or stepside beds, thus the reason for the smaller flaps. I am going to another dealer to find out for sure...as I have seen other supercrews with mud flaps on the back that are the same as my front ones..thanks to all of you for your input...

I checked at a different ford dealer over the weekend and found that there are two different types of ford molded mud flaps. The small ones for the rear of the truck (which I am complaining about) are for the 4x4 models. They have a larger/wider molded mud flap which is similiar to the molded front ones on the supercrew but these are for the 4x2 trucks. The thing is I have seen these larger mud flaps (which are the ford mud flaps) on the FX4 models which are 4x4 crews. Why would they make 2 different types of flaps since the box is the same on the 4x2 and 4x4 supercrew? Hopefully this week I am going back to the dealer and going to see if the 4x2 flap will fit the 4x4 trucks. The part number for the 4x2 flaps are F65Z*16A550*DD
