bed extender

guys, does anyone know if the after market bed extenders require a mounting bracket or do they attach like the factory dord bed extenders and use the factory mounting holes? also, if anyone wants to sell their factory ford bed extender let me know, i am very interested.

I have heard that the after market bed xtenders require mounting brackets and maybe even drilling. You may want to check ebay under 'supercrew', that is where I bought mine from.

I bought my bed extender from 4WheelParts Wholesalers and yes it does require you to drill a total of six holes to mount the two mounting brackets. I've heard that the Ford bed extender doesn't require any brackets or drilling but it costs a lot more than the aftermarket stuff. The one I have is a SteelHorse brand. Looks and works great. One word of caution, if you're going to get a SteelHorse extender, get the one that is specifically made for the SuperCrew.
