Question new lightning LED 3rd brake light

Has anyone tried to put this on an older F150? Like a 2001 perhaps? Does it just plug in? Thank you for all your help, this web site and all of it's people have helped so much in the past.

It was easy, but instead of taking the head liner out etc. I just cut and spliced the wires at the light. Probably only tood 15 min or so really taking my time. I have a 2000 F-150 and it fit perfect. It has been in since August of last year and no problems at all. I didn't even use connectors as I didn't have nay and could not wait to get it in. Just twisted the wires and taped. No sweat.

I have one, it just plugs in up under the headliner.
