take up too much room

I like the concept of the roll top and retrax but I think the box takes up too much room. I'm going to get the K-cover, www.kcover.com.

Advance Cover

As previously mentioned, here's the Advance Cover on a 2001 Screw. More photos in my gallery link. I chose it over the roll up style.

I just got the Retrax Roll Top Cover. The cover sits on top of the bed rails and extends over the tailgate and pylons, so you get the full use of the inside bed width.

The Retrax one I have is one continuous polycarbonate sheet as opposed to a lot of smaller units hooked together like the other brands. I have had it on for almost two weeks and haven't heard a thing.

Mick from NJ,
I paid $500 for the Advance cover. Installed myself. Not that big of a deal. Over a year old and no leaks. Still like it. Works great for my needs.

The price varies based on what truck/bed combo you have. The SuperCrew is one of the most expensive ones as it has many angles and slopes to the bed. Mine was $949 which was cheaper than the other roll top maker which for the SC was almost $1200. It performs great and is so easy to use. Very convienent.

pace edwards retractable with remote

I am considering getting the Pace-Edwards that is auto retractable with remote and light, for my Supercrew, and possibly with a BedRug.

Has anyone bought the Pace-Edwards version for there Supercrew?

Do you have pictures? I am looking for some close-up's of how it sits on the rails.

How much did you pay?

Thanks for the info..

Ryan

Question

The side rails on the advance cover seem to require screws going into the side rails of the truck.

I was under the impression that there were some covers that did not require screws going into the side rails.

Any input on this???????

The Retrax is four clamps with rubber to protect the rails.
