Thinking about shocks
I would like to get a better ride in my SCrew. Replacing the shocks seems to be the best way to go without spending a lot of money. Thinking about getting Edelbrock IAS Shocks. Where are the best prices on these shocks on the internet. Also, I pull a travel trailer that weighs about 6000lbs, will these shocks be okay for that?
Thanks!
Thanks!
The IAS's will be tolerable with your 6k lb tow. But investigate the Rancho 9000 5-way adjustables...you might be happier and I think they are in the ballpark with the Edelbrocks ~$69-75 each.
I might add that I just received my shipment of Bilsteins for my 2wd and will not be towing anything heavy. Cost from PerformanceProducts.com for these was $65 ea. + tax/shipping.
I tried the new Gabriel Mono and my truck rode like a 65 Chevy Impala with 200000 miles on the original springs & shocks. Will be sending those back promptly to JCWhitney. My factory shocks were 10 times better than the new Gabe's...and I am not exaggerating.

Thanks Area 52!!
I only tow it about 10 times a year and my stock shocks seems okay when do this so I would think the IAS will be fine. I have an Equilzer Hitch system and the SCrew doesnt sqat that much when hitched.
Did you put them on yourself? Can this be done by one person adn how hard or have any tips? I havent changed shocks since I had my 87 Wrangler.
Thanks
