Just get you some spice connectors... not cutting necessary. Just splice the two wires together as the instructions say.

The spice connectors just clamp on the two wires you are splicing. It pinches through the insulation and connects the two wires.

When I made the switch mod, the fogs still didn't work except in the regular headlamp position. When you do the splice, then the fogs run in the other positions when you pull the switch out and stay on with the high beams. I think I remember some footnotes on the SVT sight about another splice you need to make for it to work in park without the switch.

I did the mod as described in the link posted earlier in this thread. Fogs work in high beam, low beam, park, and with autolamp.
