Question Extended warranty

Got an extended warranty on your 2001 Screw? I am 300 kms away from the expiry of my factory warranty and would appreciate any info on the subject ASAP.

Yes, I got one. Before you simply buy it from your local dealer, check on the web for pricing. Go here, www.fordwarrantycentral.com, to get a quote on-line. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer who save a few hundred $$.

Do a seach of the forums, there is a dealer somewhere that sells the warranties for $50 over cost. There are a number of posts... or maybe someone will post it for you.

yes, I got one

I had my air-conditioner replaced under warranty, so I wanted to make sure that any future air-conditioning work would be under warranty, as well.

I got mine from some dealer in Missouri, as they were the cheapest that would let you do monthly billing. I pay $80 a month for the Premium warranty, which covers everything except oil changes, and wear and tear!

I treat it like an insurance policy - the first time you need it, you will be glad you have it. One major repair these days pretty much covers the cost of the policy.

Try Warrantybynet. I got their 5year 75000 miles plan - no deductible for about $ 800. It covers everything with exception of wear and tear.

Johnny,

I got the Ford Premium extended warranty, right at the dealership. Instead of dealing with the finance guy, the service writer set me up, he got me a good deal, plus he got a little commision for himself out of it. Plus he drives a Screw too, so we always compare mod's, he tries something or he will have me try it.

Plus, it always pays make friends with the service writer.
