No, only select cars have this built into the computer. The Corvette is one of them and a couple of luxury cars.

Um.....I have a question here! How will your lights stay on if your battery is disconnected?

Man, after reading this post, I'm really thinking about ordering me a chip too. I think my biggest complaint of the truck is it's shifting at more than 3/4 throttle. It flat out sucks. If the superchips reprograms for better shifting for this, I'll be ordering.

start with a K&N filter and then remove the majority of the tapered inlet funnel on the filter tube.

$60 < $300

I did that and didn't fell any difference. Now I have an Airforce One fipk. Didn't feel anything with that either. Though I think I lost some torque. The chip is coming next.n Hope there won't be any price increases early January.

Your lights don't stay on, the circit that they are on is opened when you turn them to the on position. Thus creating a path of resistance for the remaining electicity to be drained from the computer. The computer uses volitle memory like that of RAM in a PC. No power, no memory. But there is always a little left over electricity in the system that must be drained as it dosen't take much electricity to keep the memory going.

You will notice this when you disconect your battery for a short time and your radio will not lose it's presets.

Thanks dcovell. I'm sure I was missing something there but just needed some clarification. It just sounded funny the way you said it.
