Order-Delivery Time?

Order-Delivery Time?
I'm sure this is an exhausted thread, but I need some input before I go crazy. Can someone give me an idea how long it takes from when you order a truck to when you get it. I ordered my screw in October w/ the Lariat Upgrade, but Ford still hasn't released it, so I deleted the option in Mid November, so far I still have no build date. The dealer told me last week that the order was "in the Plant" whatever that means! I was hoping for a nice Christmas present from Santa, but it's not looking good.

Here's what I know. I have ordered (2) Supercrew trucks since March of 2000.
First one was ordered March 08, 2000 and it showed up at the dealer on May 7, 2000.
The 2nd one (very recent 2002 King Ranch) was order October 30th 2001. It was built on November 26th and I recieved on December 4th, 2001. For some real fine timeline notes, visit my personal web site below and go to the KR page.
I do know, if the order changes in the process, that may slow the deal down sometimes. But, alot of things can effect the building and delivery. It's really a crap shoot. It's hard waiting I know. I hope you get it for Christmas. Good luck Man.

You guys had better luck in getting your Screws delivered quickly. I ordered mine around 10/30 and it arrived 12/26. About what I expected, but not as quickly as yours. At least it made it for a late Chrismas present.

I ordered a black 02 S'crew XLT with the 4.6 auto. The only options fitted were captains chairs and a soft tonneau. The order
was given to the UK importer on the 17th of August. They placed their order with a dealer in Toronto. It was built in Kansas, then shipped to Canada, and was on a vessel on the 9th of October. It arrived in the UK on the 23rd, and had to undergo modification and single vehicle approval testing. I collected it on the 2nd of November. I was pretty pleased with this! Hope your truck arrives soon......its worth the wait.
